Welcome backpackers to Taiwan

Today, I read news which talked about three college students’ graduated project. The title of project is called “why do Backpackers seldom come to Taiwan?”. These students claim the tour group is a kind of tourist of consumption, which means tourisms cannot profoundly experience the country they visit but shopping. They believe that to increase the population of backpackers could allow foreigners to familiar with Taiwan. As a result, the students decided that they want to make a series of documentary which is related to three backpackers coming to Taiwan to promote the in-depth travel of Taiwan. The link of the film is as below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpXyOY46Sc8

I hope that this video could stimulate backpackers to visit Taiwan. In addition, I recommend that if one would like to travel Taiwan, the temple culture and Taiwan snacks are two things he or she cannot miss. Taiwan maintains the traditional celebration of religion and develop its diet culture. I think that foreign backpackers will have a memorable trip when they come to Taiwan.

A series of movie I enjoyed

Last Friday, I found that one of my favorite series of movie released a new sequel several months ago, when I listened a song which was its theme music. I was surprised and thrilled, because I really love this series and was no idea that there was a current sequel that I haven’t seen. You must curious what the movie was, the movie was called” Before Midnight”. The following is the link about the trailers of movies: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-a_tcfq0Ukw&feature=share

I had watched the first and the second sequel, Before Sunrise and Before Sunset respectively, the movies were American romantic drama film. The plots of both films were minimalist, since aside from walking and talking, not much happens. They focused on the two characters’ ideas and perspectives on life and love. “Before Sunrise” was released in 1995. And a 2004 sequel, Before Sunset, picked up the story nine years after the events of the first film, and then a 2013 sequel, Before Midnight, picked up the story eighteen years on. It’s worth to wait such a long time to appreciate an excellent film. However, I hope I have the chance to enjoy “Before Midnight” on this weekend!!!

Culture shocks

I have come to the UK for three weeks; however, there are some culture shocks puzzling me.

The first one is the work attitude. I remembered that when I checked in my accommodation, the clerk ignored me. In that moment, I really didn’t understand why she couldn’t deal with my case until I realize that she was preparing to get off work. It is unbelievable for me. As in my country, if any clerk hold the attitude like her, he or she will be fired. Costumer is the first one to service is the majority companies’ target in my country.

Secondly, it’s the food. In Taiwan, people eat hot food including cooked vegetable and soup as their meals: while, in the UK, it is hard to find cooked vegetable, but salad. Fortunately, I can improve my cooking skill when I try to make a meal of Taiwan style in the UK!

The reason is that the rabbits might evolutionary and uncooperative as human raise them. When the interviewer interviewed a white rabbit and asked “Are you affair to be eaten?” the white rabbit answered “Yes, eat black rabbits first, please.” Yet, the businessman rejects the demand to cancel the selling. As a result, the protesters require people to avoid consuming rabbits.

Cosmetic surgery should be banned or not?

I agree that cosmetic surgery should be forbidden as the following standpoints.

  • High risk to health

Some of medicine using in the plastic surgery might not be tested for a long time, therefore the safety of medicine could be a problem. For example, the silicone gel made in France caused two million people who were implanted exposing to the bacterial infection.

  • Incorrect concept

Chasing the external beauty constantly would mislead people, especially for youngsters. Because of immature, young people tend to pursue what is unnecessary instead of studying.
